I'm a dyslexic BIPOC wildlife photographer, presenter and writer. that recently relocated to rural settings of Wasaga Beach to get closer to nature when I retired from teaching full time to chase my passion of wildlife. I love to see wild animals in their natural habitat and state, so I travel around Canada (missing only Newfoundland and Nunavut) and the world (missing only Antarctica). Getting to see an animal in its habitat is special, being able to photography it is awesome.
I am published in Readers Digest’s, Local Magazines and newspaper.
In 2022, released the 1st book in the series “The World with Jason George – Canada”
Check out my work www.jasongeorgephotography.com we are sure you’ll find a photo or story there that will make you smile or join him on an adventure on his YouTube Channel https://
Kandise MacLeod is a Boilermaker Union member in good standing, a journeyperson, a welder/fitter and a rigger. She repairs and re-pipes commercial steam and hot-water boilers. She holds an advanced diploma in Operations Management but chose the trades as a rewarding career. She graduated from Welding Techniques class in 2011; apprenticed at the Boilermakers Union, and built a career as a boilermaker welder. She took further training and professional certifications to qualify for her current position as a Radiation Protection Coordinator. She supervises and is responsible for the safety of tradespeople working at from both conventional and radiological hazards. Her journey from apprenticeship to her current position is an inspiration to anyone in the trades, particularly women. As a boilermaker and welder, she occupies a unique space in a traditionally male-dominated industry, and is a role model for women and people with learning disabilities who'd want to join the trades and get better paying jobs through college education.
Kandise Macleod is an advocate for youth and persons with disabilities. She had to grow up having to battle the stigmas around having multiple disabilities. Since having kids of her own, as well as achieving notable career success, she gained the confidence to be a voice for people with learning disabilities. Her hope is to distigmatize learning disabilities to end the shame by educating people on what having a learning disability truly means. Empowering people in all walks of life on self acceptance and self love.
